Dental Crowns in Phoenix, AZ

What to Expect During the Crown Procedure?
Getting a crown usually takes two visits to our dental office in Phoenix. Here’s what the process looks like:
First Appointment: Dr. Razzaq will carefully remove any decay and shape the tooth so the crown can fit properly. Then, we’ll take impressions of your tooth, which are sent to the lab to create your custom crown. While waiting, you'll wear a temporary crown to protect your tooth.
Second Appointment: Once your permanent crown is ready, we’ll check the fit, make any needed adjustments, and securely bond it in place. The result is a strong, natural-looking tooth that blends seamlessly with the rest of your smile.

What is your crown made from?
Crowns can be made from several types of materials. Metal alloys, ceramics, porcelain, porcelain fused to metal or composite resin may be used. When a crown is made, the material often is tooth colored to blend in with your natural teeth. We also offer custom dentures to help restore full function and aesthetics for patients with missing teeth, ensuring every smile is complete and confident.
You want your crown to look natural and fit comfortably in your mouth. To decide which material to use for your crown, you and your dentist will consider many factors, such as:
- the tooth’s location and function
- the position of the gum tissue
- the amount of tooth that shows when you smile
- the color or shade of the surrounding teeth
